About Me
I am a family and childhood photographer located in Winterville, GA, serving Athens and the surrounding area. While I primarily shoot children, I have a deep passion for High School Senior photography and weddings! I am also available for newborn and maternity photography. I love working with people and getting to know new people. Your referrals are very important to me because it gives me the opportunity to meet someone I may have never met otherwise!
I have been married to my husband Sean since 1999 and we have two beautiful kids, Gabe - Aug, 05, and Layla - Dec, 07. When I am not shooting for clients, I love to take pictures of my own kids (when I can catch them)! I also love anything related to the outdoors including camping, fishing, hunting, or just being outside (when it’s not too hot that is!). I love to read and yes, I do love to watch TV (that’s what I do when it’s too hot to be outside!).
I hope to capture wonderful memories for you and your family and to give you a timeless and quality product in the prints and items that you order from me. I use only the best printing labs to ensure that you get a product that will be with you and your family for years to come. Thank you for considering me for your custom portrait experience! I hope that you will be pleased and 100% satisfied as I strive everyday to refine myself and my art so that I can give you and your family the best that you can get!
Yeah, I dunno what’s up with the lyrics tonight… sorry!
I had a GREAT session with Brock and his family this past weekend! Brock has just turned three and I’ve had the honor of shooting him ever since he was a tiny newborn! His mom and dad are awesome too and I always look forward to our sessions. He brought along his “Big Green Tractor” for his pics. He had a Farmall at his one year session and this year he changed it up for a John Deere. He is a man of many tractors!!!
Oh man!! Declan just steals the show with this session!! The last couple of times I saw him he was a tad on the grumpy side. Not this past weekend though – no sir!! This little guy put the “E” in entertainment for me!!! He brought along his “keytar” and he has the awesome facial expressions and body stances down just like a REAL rock star!!!! This little guy can bring it! He recently celebrated his SECOND birthday!!
And I guess we were kind of there too to capture his mama in her baby waiting glory!! Declan and Mom and Dad will be welcoming a baby sister VERY soon and they are all so excited! And she certainly makes a beautiful mama in wait!!!
Look at that sweet girl and her new tricks! Her mama kept telling me how cute she is and I was like “yeah, I’m sure she is… all babies are cute…” but man! She really IS SO STINKING cute!!!! Like a little baby doll! I had a great time w/her and big bro Hudson in my studio. This is my absolute fav age to photograph because they can sit well but don’t crawl off on you… yet! It won’t be long for her!
Baby bird…
Mr Eli is such a cutie!! He LOVES the camera and the camera loves him!!! I’m so blessed to have met him and his family! We did his 1 yr session at Founder’s Gardens which included a cake smash!! I’m guessing the grounds keepers may not have been quite as happy with us as the birds and squirrels were!
Eli I hope you had a GREAT first birthday!! Here’s to many more ahead!!!
There are a lot of special little girls in my life but Miss Tori is one of the special-est! She is the sweet girl of my BFF since kindergarten. I have captured her at several different points in her sweet little life and she never disappoints me with her cuteness! She has gotten a lot less shy in front of the camera and she really had a good time shooting these on that CHILLY morning last month!! Happy (belated) birthday to you Tori and thanks for being so awesome!!
I was honored to take photos for the fourth straight year at the Winterville Marigold Pageant! It kind of feels like my “alma matter” since I grew up in and around the pageant so it’s so neat to see this generation’s take on it. All of the girls did an outstanding job and I hope each and every one of them are proud of their accomplishments!! Congratulations to the category winners – Romina “Little Miss Marigold”, Brianna “Jr Miss Marigold” and Lauren “Miss Marigold” and congratulations to ALL of the winners for a job well done!
Obviously my poor blog is a tad neglected! But never fear! I am back in the game, shooting sessions (that I need to post!) AND planning for some REALLY fun Easter Mini Sessions!
These sessions will take place on March 31st, from 9am-12pm and on April 1st, from 2pm-5pm at my studio in Winterville, GA. Each session lasts 20 minutes and you will be presented w/about 5-10 final edited images in a password protected gallery. A $49 non-refundable retainer is required to hold your session spot and additional upgrades and discounted prints and digital files will be available for purchase.
What if I have 15 kids? That’s fine – you have 20 minutes and if all 15 of your kids can sit/stay and have their photos taken in 20 minutes time, then you are cool to just book one session (and I’m talking individuals here – 15 kiddos are NOT going to all fit on my set! MAYBE two, maybe…). If you feel like you may need an additional time slot (or two) please contact me and we will work that out.
Let’s see, what else… oh! To make an appointment email me at info@sueannhollandphotography.com. Session slots will be available by appointment only, on a first come, first served basis but your spot is not yours until your retainer has been paid. Spots are limited and once they’re gone, they’re gone! All current Holland Photography policies apply. Please let me know if you have any questions! Hope you can make it!! It will be so much fun!
Happy New Year everyone!!! We sincerely hope you had a wonderful one! To kick off 2012 the right way, we are running a QUICK and dirty little sale!! I’ve been POURING over 2011′s orders and analyzing and figuring and asking…. what do my clients REALLY want??? It seems you want gift prints to share with family, digital files to share online or to print again and again, but it seems like I didn’t sell you enough of what *I* want you to have….. what I want you to have are large prints of your amazing memories hanging huge in your home! Yes, of course I want all of your friends and family to say “hey, who took that” and of course, I want you to say “ohmygosh… I have THE MOST AWESOME photographer EVER! You have GOT to call her! She is AMAZING”!!! (You’d say that right? Right???). Anyway…. but other than that…. I want you to have those MEMORIES, those HEIRLOOMS, those PRICELESS TREASURES or your family, your children, your newborn baby, your teenaged daughter, hanging HUGE in your house, for generations to come! SOOOOOOOO…. to remedy that in the short term, I am running a VERY quick sale (I mean SO quick) – it ends tomorrow – FRIDAY, Jan 6, at, oh, lets say 9pm.
The sale is on GALLERY WRAPPED CANVASES. One of my FAVORITE products because they look SO awesome and they are SO easy to hang (trust me, I hung two the other day all by myself!). And because I want you to buy them big, I am DEEPLY discounting two of the biggest sizes I sale….
16×20 – $275 – on sale for $100 (wait what?!?!)
20×24 – $335 – on sale for $125 (NaUH!!!! Get OUT!!!)
SO!!! What are waiting for? Email me at info@sueannhollandphotography.com, message me on FB, call me, whatever! Just let me know that you want one of these at this steal of a price between NOW and tomorrow night!! I will HOOK YOU UP!!!!!!
Also, be looking for some new collections in 2012…. I am GOING to get you some big prints to put on your wall this year. Just you wait and watch and see!!
Yesterday I had a great opportunity so shoot a wonderful extended family… including a fellow photographer! I’ve “known” Scott Greene for awhile now as a friend through Facebook and as a fellow local photographer. Scott is a very talented photographer but shooting your own family is probably one of the most difficult things a photographer can try to do so I was honored when he asked me to take on the task for him. It’s difficult being in FRONT of the camera when you are so used to being on the other side but I think he is a natural, as is his adorable son Owen and his beautiful wife Erica. I was also honored to meet his parents and brother as well! We had a great time shooting at the UGA Founder’s Memorial Gardens yesterday! I hope you guys like the previews and I can’t wait for you to see the rest very soon!
I really enjoyed photographing this wonderful family at the State Botanical Gardens this past weekend! I have shot the daughter and her family several times and was happy to add the parents and a brother and sister in law and niece as well!! They are definitely a beautiful family and as usual, a lot of fun (minus a minor goldfish infraction). It was a pleasure meeting them and I hope they enjoy the pics!
