What a wonderful opportunity I had yesterday to meet these two! They are getting ready for a wedding next month and asked if I’d shoot some fun engagement pictures for them. They were a really fun couple, up for, well, most anything. We got some fun stuff both on the UGA North campus and then headed across the street for more fun downtown. Jarrod even sprang for ice cream so I could get some fun Ben and Jerry’s shots (I swear, Ben and Jerry’s should be paying me for these shots!). Here is a preview of their session.

Last Sunday I had the wonderful privilege of not only shooting my first wedding as primary shooter, but shooting it for a family that is near and dear to my heart. I met Amber’s family several years ago when her father, “Dr Stan”, became the pastor of my church. Over the years I grew to love her and her father and mother. They are even extra special to me as they now live in the first house that Sean and I called “home” (Stan and Lynn do. Ironically enough, Amber and Jonathan are living just across the street from the house we rented when we very first got married!). Such a small and cozy world huh?!

I realize the “risk” they took in choosing me as their wedding photographer knowing I’m pretty “green” to the wedding scene. But you have to start somewhere and I hope that they are pleased with their “risk” and love the moments that I captured for them. I will be forever grateful to them for taking this leap of faith with me and giving me this amazing opportunity!

This morning I met up with Carter – the winner of my Fresh Faces, kids, contest. I have to admit, I was a little nervous. My little boy is around Carter’s age and I know what a struggle it can be to get not only decent shots but heck, any shots at all of him!! But I quickly realized that my fears were way unfounded. Carter loves the camera and the camera loves him back! I got a lot of really cute shots of him. Maybe he could come over one day and give Gabe some pointers on sitting still for pictures!!! Carter, I’m really glad you won my contest and I can’t wait to see you again later this year with the rest of your family! Enjoy the previews!

I’m so excited to be shooting Seth and Morgan’s wedding later this year. They are the best kind of couple to help break me into this new realm of my business – sweet, laid back, up for anything…  Morgan is going to make a beautiful bride and I can’t wait for their August wedding! Tonight we got together on the UGA campus and wandered around and got some fun shots. Here is a little preview to tide them over til I can get the rest of them edited.

This one is a little different from my “norm” but I kind of like the way it turned out.

I would like to personally wish each and every one of you a VERY Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous 2010!! Thank you for all you have done for my business in 2009. I had a wonderful time with Joseph and his mom this afternoon, roaming around downtown Athens. He is such a great guy. So laid back,  easy going, and handsome too (am I allowed to say that?!?). I had a really hard time picking which pictures to show off because we got SO many good ones! Joseph and Debi, I had a GREAT time with you tonight and I really appreciate you allowing me the opportunity to do this for you! I can’t wait to show you the whole gallery! And shout out to Allison for the referral! Thank you girl! I’ll have to remember to throw you in a nice little something after your session in Nov!

Meet Mac – 18 months of cuteness! He was a shy little guy, gave me lots of very serious expressions, but whether he grins or frowns, he is a cute little man! He is a ball of energy too and he wore me out as he led me over some of the UGA campus yesterday. Maybe he was so thoughtful and reflective because he knew that the Dawgs were going to make us sad yesterday. I think that would make him wise beyond his years (or year and half anyway). S and D, hope you enjoy these previews! It was a pleasure meeting all three of you!

He enjoys trains, baseball, SpongeBob Square Pants, and running away from me. And yes, ladies, he IS available. Isn’t he cuteness??
