Fall Mini Sessions

This year I am offering two opportunities for mini sessions. I have had several families request a smaller session for “just that one shot” for a holiday card or an updated family portrait to go on your wall. You will be able to either join me against the BEAUTIFUL backdrop of the North GA Mountains on Oct 16 and 17 in Dillard GA, OR locally on Oct 24 at Founder’s Memorial Gardens on the UGA campus.

All sessions require a $100 retainer in order to hold your spot. The retainer includes:

- 15 min session

- 10-15 fully edited proofs

- your choice of: 1 digital file with printing rights OR 25 custom designed cards w/envelopes

Package upgrades are also available:

Retainer +

- $150 = 4 additional (5 total) digital files OR 5 gift prints (5×7 or smaller) and 25 additional custom designed cards ($250 total)

- $300 = full set of digital files (all final edited images) OR 8 gift prints, 25 additional cards, and 1 16×20 wall portrait ($400 total)

Or, for those of you that like to mix it up…Pick any combo of the two above for retainer+$375!! This is an awesome deal!! ($475 total)

Samantha – Oglethorpe County High School, Class of 2011

I had a wonderful time with Samantha and her mom this weekend in downtown Athens! She wanted pics by the “Phoneix” mural so we headed that way and found tons of neat nooks and crannies all along the way! We made good use of dumpsters (see below) and stinky (well, not the stinkiest) alleys and abandoned parking lots! We really had a blast and got some awesome shots in the process!! Sam, I really enjoyed meeting you and your mom and hope you love your pics!

I guess we “could” have borrowed a bathroom but this is WAY more creative for clothes changes at your session (and now I know it’s here!)

A Beautiful Family

I have been looking forward to this session for several weeks now – for many different reasons! Cherie contacted me and reminded me that our families used to go “muddin” (and “snowin” I think!) together in the mountains in our jeeps when we were younger. She mentioned that her kids were very young the last time they did family pics so she wanted some of those but she also wanted some shots of her teenaged children and as much as I love babies and toddles, teenagers are tons of fun to work with!! Here is a shot of their beautiful family all together:

And Lane, who is a senior this year at North Oconee High School. I will admit, I was a little worried about what I was going to do w/a senior guy at Founder’s Gardens, but I think everything turned out A-OK. What do you think?

Greyson and Family

Tonight I had a great time with Greyson and his mommy and daddy at Founder’s Gardens. He is getting SO big, crawling all over and getting very close to walking too (look out mama and daddy!). I love the shots I got of him, I have been going through and I think I have all of the ones I want to preview, then I find another and think “aw, that is too cute” and pick it too!! I somehow narrowed it down to 5 but his mommy and daddy will most likely be getting plenty way more than that to pick from in the next week or so!!! I had a great time you guys and hope you all cooled off and that the mosquitoes didn’t do too much damage!!

The kids all tell me they LOVE to shoot at Founder’s! Something about the free snacks…

Down on the Farm

Tonight I had a great time hanging out with a longtime friend and her beautiful family – both the two legged ones and the four legged ones. Lori and I have known each other forever – I think we went to preschool together – and I was honored to capture her and her kids and one of her nieces with their beautiful horses on their farm. Thankfully the rain held off and we got some beautiful shots! Here is just a small sample:

This past Saturday I had the honor of shooting Seth and Morgan’s wedding!! It was wonderful for me in many ways, one of them being the fact that Sean and I were married at Winterville First Baptist Church also, over 11 years ago! Also is the fact that these two are just a fun couple! They are so laid back and easy going – up for anything. And they had a really fun group there to help them celebrate their big day! I wish you two the absolute BEST as you start your lives together!! Thank from the bottom of my heart for including me in your day!!

Hummmm…. I wonder who is responsible for the fact that the local police pulled them over on their way out of the church???

Aiden

You may remember Aiden’s mommy’s maternity session that we did recently. Well, the little guy is finally here, only 11 days new! He was as sweet as can be, slept perfectly for us and let us do anything we wanted w/him. I can say that I now know you should not hand a mommy an undiapered newborn for mommy and me shots. That’s probably all I should say about that!! Never the less, we got some really great shots of him and I can’t wait to watch him grow up!!

Addie Grace – Sweet Little Hero

Tonight I had another wonderful session with a Little Hero and her family. Addie Grace was adopted from China when she was 20 months old but before that, she had to endure a heart surgery at only 8 months of age to repair a moderate sized hole in her tiny little heart. Her mama commented on her application about how sad it makes her to know that she had to do that without loving parents to hold her and tell her everything would be alright. She has overcome so much in her short little life and now she is blessed to be part of a wonderful and loving family! She is also a trooper to have endured the humidity tonight – you can see we were all starting to sweat before it was all over with. But no matter, she is an awesome and courageous little girl with a bright future in front of her! I feel very blessed to have met her and her wonderful family!

I knew I’d have a hard time deciding which of these to preview. And there are still a ton of beautiful shots just waiting for a few minor tweaks. No wonder, when you have such a beautiful model to work with!! Rachel wanted some shots w/her car so we met up at the downtown parking deck to have some fun with that. After taking a few out and around town a thunderstorm drove us back to the deck where we had even more fun! Rachel, you look awesome in these! Hope you guys like the previews!

Help Stop Domestic Violence

My very beautiful and talented friend, Maria Gloria Cardarelli is asking for your help! Maria is in the running to be part of next year’s Athens Dancing With the Stars!! To get her coveted spot, she needs to raise money for a very worthwhile organization: Project Safe. Project Safe is a non-profit organization working to end domestic violence through preventative and educational programs, crisis intervention and ongoing supportive services for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Their advocacy systems, which help provide legal help to obtain orders and press charges against abusive individuals, change lives in our community and liberate the mentally and physically oppressed, frustrated and vulnerable victims of abuse.

You can donate by going to the Project Safe link above and clicking on the Dancing With the Athens Stars link and selecting Maria – contestant #3 or by contacting Maria at 706-255-5522. There will also be special nights (certain Wednesdays in August) at the Hilltop Grille in Athens where you can come and hear music and have wonderful food and a percentage of the sales will go to support Project Safe through Maria’s campaign. The first one is August 11th and it’s a Caribbean Night featuring the rhythm of Los Pleneros del Caribe and complimentary appetizers will be provided by Plantation Quail. Don’t miss it!!!!
